Celebrating Safely & Substance Free
Celebrating and participating in school events can positively impact youth by boosting their sense of belonging, enhancing social skills, fostering school pride, increasing motivation, and proving opportunities for personal growth and development, particularly in areas like team work, communication, and leadership. MEADA will provide a $50 prize for each registered project committed to encouraging students to celebrate safely. The participating school can decide how students commit to doing so, this could be through signing a banner, filling out a ticket, etc.
MISSION
Highlight positive norms at your school and throughout the community, foster a sense of belonging for all students participating in this event, and encourage an awesome night of comradery and memory making, but doing so safely to ensure there is a lifetime of tomorrows for our youth. “Celebrating Safely” can mean many things – buckling up, not drinking, following speed limits, biking on the sidewalk, saying no to vaping, wearing reflectors when walking at night, not taking someone else’s pills, etc.

STEP 1: Choose the Event
Whatever event you think would be good to highlight the benefits and importance of celebrating safely, we will support!
STEP 2: Register the Event
Register your event using the form below. The contact information will be used to get in touch to finalize details. It’s a simple form that collects minimal information and alerts us when a partner is hosting an event they want us to support.
STEP 3: Just Prior to the Event
Our coordinator will connect with the contact and arrange supply pickup and/or drop off. Supplies can be customized with your school logos, colors, mascots, etc. The winning $50 gift card can be supplied at this time and awarded at the event, if you choose. Afterwards, we’d love pictures to highlight the success (of the wall with all the tickets, signed banner, etc., not necessarily of the student).
