YOUTH ACTIVITY FUND
Using funds from a Wright County Opioid Settlement Advisory Council Special Project, MEADA is proud to offer a program to help make pro-social activities for youth more affordable. We know these kinds of activities improve youth development by fostering better mental health, forging strong social connections, and increasing academic performance – but we also know growing costs often force players and families to dial back the number of activities they engage in. We’re hoping the Youth Activity Fund helps prevent that.
We will work with the organization to cover the costs of registration, up to $500 per youth, per year. Ideally, you complete the application prior to registering so we can review eligibility and connect with the organization to arrange payment. We understand, as a new pilot, there will be nuances but we will do our best to make it as smooth as we can. If financial aid is available from the organization, that should be used before Youth Activity Funds. Eligibility varies and will be reviewed by MEADA members.

Wright County youth deserve to be the best version of themselves without financial barriers. We are here to help ease the burden and encourage increased socialization, skill building, and/or aid in receiving needed support. Activities that could be funded school sports, club sports, music, arts, theater, tutoring/homework support, mentoring services, etc.
